Lena Cruz


Lena is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Her most recent stage credits include Monkey: Journey to the West (The Theatre of Image),Menopause The Musical: Women On Fire, and Mother Courage and her Children (Belvoir). Lena’s Musical Theatre highlights include her debut as Jenny in The Threepenny Opera(Western Australian Opera), Miss Bell in Fame (Jacobsen Entertainment), Hair – The Musical(The Production Company), An Officer and A Gentleman (Gordon Frost Organisation), and of course creating the widely acclaimed role of Cynthia in the original production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (Priscilla On Stage).

She has co-written and co-starred in the cabarets The Singer’s Guide To The Universe (The Producers), About Face, and one-woman shows I’m A Stranger Here Myself directed by Tony Sheldon and Bitter Sweet (Sydney Fringe Festival), for which she was nominated for the Sydney Fringe Festival Drum Media Show-Stopping Individual Performance Award and the Best of People’s Choice Award.

On film and television she has starred as Rory Van Dyke in The Wannabes, Margarita in The Night We Called it A Day, Cassandra in Upskirt, Sofia Martinez in Shortland Street, Pet inBargain Coast, Jody Lim in Dirt GameComedy IncWatch With MotherAll Saints, and as Carmen in The Very Trevor Ashley Show.

Lena’s the lead singer of the jazz band, Cruzy Moods.
